Everything it takes to be a success in life - spirit, soul, body, financially and socially - in the whole realm of human existence, was covered by the blood of Jesus at Calvary. The King James version of 3 John 2 says, "(I pray) above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth".
John identifies himself in verse 1 as 'the elder', which is extremely important. These verses were written by a man who, many years earlier had walked with Jesus as a personal disciple and aide. He is the man to whom Jesus turned over His own mother when he was on the cross. If anyone understood the divine importance of words, it was John. And he said he prayed ABOVE ALL THINGS that believers would prosper and be in health AS THEIR SOUL (MIND, WILL AND EMOTIONS) PROSPERED.

The truth is out.
No no no no YES, but we are not supposed to call people Idiots, even if we think it. I wonder if Jesus called us His sheep because sheep are mainly pretty dumb. Human sheep seem to 'follow the crowd' without much thought to where they are being led, especially when demands for blind obedience come from the media, government or pharmaceutical companies.

We are warned in Scripture that the greatest danger facing the Church, especially in these last days is deception. What about persecution you might ask? It is certainly coming too, it is already here, and is increasing, but which is most dangerous to us? I put it to you that the greatest danger is deception. If you are being persecuted for your faith, you will know it; if you are being deceived, you will not know - that is the very nature of deception! Persecution will not necessarily cause you to lose your salvation, it may even strengthen your faith, whereas deception may well lead you to destruction.
This is the first session of a series on deception in the Church, the speaker is Keith Malcomson.
