The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. - Psalm 23:1 KJV

Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting  our Vale Christian Fellowship website. We hope this site will tell you all you need to know about us. Please use the 'contact us' form if there is anything else you might like to know. Feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come and join us on a Sunday morning. We would love to meet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ, our love for each other and our love for you.

Our Mission

We believe the door to salvation is always open, and open to all, and it will be so until He returns. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Services

Sunday Morning services begin at 10:00 AM and usually finish around 11:30, followed with tea and coffee, biscuits and chat. Services are currently being held in the Village Hall at Kirby Misperton.

Also see the forum for details of online video meetings for prayer and fellowship.

Please note, due to the personal nature of many posts, access to the forum is restricted to members only.

A prayer for today

DISTURB US LORD

The need for active, adventurous disciples of Jesus is as urgent as ever.  There is a broken world in need of healing, good news to be shared and Kingdom work to be done, all energised by the charismatic Spirit so powerfully present at the baptism of Jesus and the birth of the church at Pentecost.

The great explorer Sir Francis Drake, who knew a thing or two about adventure, made this his prayer:

Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves.

When our dreams have come true, because we have dreamed too little.

When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore.

Disturb us, Lord, when, with the abundance of things we possess,

We have lost our thirst for the waters of life;

Having fallen in love with life, we have ceased to dream of eternity,

And in our efforts to build a new earth We have allowed our vision of the new Heaven to dim.

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly; to venture on wider seas

Where storms will show your mastery;

Where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars.

We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes;

And to push into the future in strength, courage, hope, and love.
